We just wanted to drop some encouragement in your inbox! Sometimes as Christians we are ashamed to say we have moments of doubt or moments of weakness where we just don’t know how God is going to do it. We want to let you know something, you aren’t weird for feeling how you feel. If we’d be completely honest we’ve all been there. We know it’s not popular to talk about these moments, but the reality of this walk is that they happen.
With that in mind we wanted to remind you of Psalm 34:10b which says “those who seek (practice, study, follow, seek with application) the Lord lack (be without) no good ( rich, valuable in estimation) thing”.
Some of you are in a place where you know and trust God, but your most recent storm has you in a place you’ve never experienced before. Here are three ways to win:
- SEEK- we know it seems so simple, but to seek means to attempt to find or desire to obtain. In these tough times be intentional about seeking. Don’t get caught up in what you see… SEEK.
- Remember what the word not only says about your situation, but what it says about YOU. Find scriptures that eliminate negative self-talk or behaviors that will keep you here longer than you need to be. You WILL conquer this!
- Prayer. Fasting. Worship. Praise. Study the Bible.
It doesn’t end here for you.
God created you to overcome!
Father, I come to you first saying thank you. Thank you for my sight naturally and spiritually. Thank you for the ability to hear not only what’s going on around me, but the ability to hear your voice. Thank you for being omnipresent and omnipotent. Thank you for loving me just how I am…. Imperfect, unsure and unworthy. A complete mess, but still your beautiful masterpiece. God, help me shift my prayers from “take me out of this” to show me why I’m in this. Increase my ability to catch the revelation while simultaneously increasing my discernment. God I trust you with my life and with what I’m dealing with currently. You’re such an amazing Father that even this will work for me according to Romans 8:28. I thank you for peace. I thank you for joy. I thank you for strength. I completely surrender my storm to you and I surrender my will to you. I want your will for my life even if it makes me uncomfortable. Build my faith in this place. I love you Lord and I believe your word concerning me. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen!
